Boating Regulations Adopted by the Townships of Reid and Elderon

  

  1. STATE BOATING AND SAFETY LAWS WERE ADOPTED.

  2. SLOW NO WAKE HOURS OF OPERATION: NO PERSON SHALL OPERATE WATERCRAFT FASTER THAN SLOW-NO-WAKE DURING THE HOURS OF 6:00 PM TO 9:00 AM LOCAL TIME IN THE WATERS OF PIKE LAKE EXCEPT ON FRIDAYS WHEN THE SLOW NO-WAKE HOURS ARE UNTIL SUNSET MEMORIAL DAY UNTIL LABOR DAY.

  3. PERSONAL WATERCRAFT MUST REMAIN 100 FEET FROM OTHER BOATS AND DOCKS, 200 FEET FROM SHORE.

  4. HAVE A COMPETENT OBSERVER IN ADDITION TO THE OPERATOR WHEN TOWING A PERSON ON WATER SKIS OR SIMILAR DEVICE.

  5. DO NOT LEAVE, DEPOSIT, PLACE OR THROW ON TO THE WATER, ICE, SHORE OF WATERS, OR UPON ANY PUBLIC OR PRIVATE PROPERTY ANY CANS, BOTTLES, DEBRIS, REFUSE, OR ANY OTHER MATERIALS.

  6. SIZE LIMITS: NORTHERN MINIMUM 26” 2 PER DAY, BASS 14” 5 PER DAY, WALLEYE 15” MINIMUM SLOT SIZE 20” TO 24”, NO HARVEST, 1 FISH ALLOWED OVER 24” INCHES. PAN FISH MAY THROUGH JUNE 5/15 BAG LIMIT.

  7. OPEN WATER IN WINTER MONTHS ON EAST SHORE LINE, AERATOR SYSTEM INSTALLED.  NO ANCHOR AREA IN THE SUMMER.

 

NO PARKING IN PUBLIC BOAT LANDING TURN AROUND AREA.  DRIVEWAY SPEED LIMIT IS 5 MPH.
